5 out of 5 stars Rug Gripper is terriffic!!!   July 23, 2010
Nikki's Mom
This stuff works great. If you have wood floors and put rugs down here and there, you know how they slide all around. Put this stuff under the rugs and they stay in place until you take them off!!! And it does not damage your wood floors at all. I have been using this stuff for years and will continue, it's great.

5 out of 5 stars Must take both sticky covers off   June 15, 2009
Fred V. Peterson (FT Lauderdale)
These really work great for my Gel mats on laminate kitchen floor. There are "2" sheets of paper covering the two sticky surfaces. You need to remove one, and stick that side to mat. Then remove other one and turn over and put in place on floor. Instructions not too clear on product. Easier for women of house to do as you need nails to peel cover off sticky sides.

1 out of 5 stars Does Not Stick to Anything But Itself!   April 13, 2008

This product was so frustrating to use because it would not stick to the rug, but it would stick to itself. I even tried to stick it to the carpet on the floor and then put the throw rug on top of it. It still didn't work.
I ended up throwing the whole thing in a ziploc and returned it to Wal-Mart in a ball. (Yes, they refunded my money.)
Really lousy product.

1 out of 5 stars Useless   March 2, 2008

Wouldn't stick at all to the underside of our mats (which use some kind of artificial backing). It's going back.

4 out of 5 stars slip sliding away   December 30, 2007

Non-rubberbacked rugs tend to slip on tile or wood flooring. This product was designed to hold small/medium rugs and mats in place. It is made of a strong doublebacked sticky mesh which adheres to both floor and rug. It's adherence to the floor is great, but it takes some finesse to get it to hold the back of the rug/mat.... Make sure there is no dust or lint on the back. Then orientate the strips along the line of traffic. Grab a brew and stand on the rug to apply pressure along the strip lines for awhile. Admittedly at first I was frustrated. But at final analysis this product works great.................

Update 01/25/08: Frustration has set in again. Yes this tape held the rug well at first. But after about three weeks it lost it's grip and well now we are back to surfing the rug down the hallway. Amazon rules will not allow downgrading star ratings. This product failed to deliver a lasting performance. * one star !!

Update 06/08/09: Please see our review for 'Hold-It for Rugs'. A far superior product.
